Message from Adur Ukraine Support Association: 

We are collecting selected aid items to send to Ukraine to support those in need.  Please bring them along on  Saturday 14 SEPTEMBER between 10:30-12:30 Parish Rooms New Road Shoreham-by-Sea Sussex BN43 6RA. Please visit our website for more information and details of the latest news and events or to find out how to join us.  Please come and join us for a cup of tea or coffee and a chat. Everyone is welcome.

Here is a list of the items needed:  Also, see the leaflet below – this can be printed out by saving it to your phone or computer. Please share, thanks

• Mobility aids: mobility scooters, walking rollators, wheelchairs, zimmer frames, crutches, support boots and braces
• Camping equipment: tents – larger preferred. please check that poles are present and that there are no rips
• Portable toilets – porta-potties used in camping
• Tools:  shovels, pick axes, axes, spades, long nails, hammers (any other tools for trench and shelter construction)
• Foodstuffs: (all must have a reasonable shelf life remaining): baked beans, tinned tuna in oil (dual eat & cook uses), squash or cordial (smaller bottles of concentrate are ideal) – it takes away the taste of water purification tablets.
• Gravy granules – also used to mask the taste of water biscuits (not wafer type), e.g. oatmeal, digestive tinned meats or fish
• Washing machines – under 3 years old and in working order
• Bandages – any sort

As they enter the final countdown to the near-2,000 mile journey to Kharkiv, Pick-ups for Peace and Stand For Ukraine are continuing to fundraise to help cover the costs of the endeavour.
